Dave and Sylvia are a sweet couple. For their wedding, they wanted the focus to be the enjoyment of their guests. They chose to do a masquerade ball theme complete with music on a beautiful patio lit with party lights, musical chairs in a gorgeous ballroom, dancing, and a creative scavenger hunt. All of this was held at a historical venue called the Berry Hill Mansion in Frankfort, KY. The grounds of this venue are expansive with a huge green lawn, stone building and room after room of detailed woodwork and stained glass.
Great attention was given to the various details throughout the venue. From the red ball gown that Sylvia chose for her wedding down to the jewelry she chose, to the colorful variety of masks for guests to wear—everything was exquisitely planned and coordinated.
There was a short, intimate ceremony on the library balcony overlooking the rest of the ballroom where the guests were seated. Following the ceremony, dinner was served in one of the main floor rooms and guests were able to enjoy a seat on the large outdoor patio with live music or indoors in a beautifully lit ballroom. Inside the ballroom was a limestone fireplace and a gigantic pipe organ. This venue was absolutely stunning. After dinner, Dave and Sylvia shared their "first waltz" as a married couple.
Throughout their special day, the joy of the couple and their guests was evident in the smiles and laughter. The love that Dave and Sylvia have for one another shows in their expressions in many of the photographs. This wedding was one of the most unique I have been privileged to attend.
Please enjoy looking through some of my favorite images from the day.
