The Indianapolis Museum of Art is a beautiful location with amazingly manicured grounds, gardens and venues such as the Lilly House. I met Clint and Paige in Indianapolis (they drove in from West Lafayette, IN and I drove in from Lexington, KY!) at this museum for their engagement portraits a couple weekends ago. It was a mostly rainy day but thankfully the sky cleared up just enough for us to complete our entire session while staying dry!
What I love about the grounds at the IMA is that not only is it beautifully landscaped but they also decorate for the seasons - there was an entire pumpkin patch and corresponding decor in one of the gardens, making this a perfect location for a fall portrait session.
Clint and Paige are from central Indiana and enjoy the country and outdoors. They have a very laid back and mellow demeanor so they were very fun and easy to work with during our session. I was honored to be the first professional photographer that Paige has ever hired, ever! I am so thankful that she told me at the end of our session that my instructions and constant encouragement not only helped her to feel comfortable during the session, but to have fun and feel confident as well! These are words that I cherish as a photographer. I don't just want people to have great photos, but I want them to have a great experience that they can be fond of when they look back at their images and remember how much fun it was!
The joy and love that these two have for one another is evident in how they look at each other, in their smiles and their laughter. I am so thankful that I was able to capture these wonderful emotions in their images. Though they don't have a specific date set for their wedding yet, I look forward to the day because I know it will be such a joy-filled event!
Anyways, here are some of my favorites from this session in Indianapolis, Indiana:
